Welcome to our collection of memories and pictures of past choirs!
2022 - Our year of "Joy"
The best part of being in a choir in 2022 is that we could see and hear each other again. Forty-nine children were ready to try singing again and churches opened up opportunities to worship with us. To celebrate, the choir hosted its first Christmas Event with a production of "JOY!" written by Director, Rein Selles.
2021 - The Masked Singers!
While 55 singers were registered for the Fall of 2021, only 40 decided to give masked singing a try. In the end, it was a good effort even if we were limited in where and how we were allowed to sing. Camp Sunday was the only worship service with full choir before restrictions were back in place. We found other ways to lead worship and made it to December without one child or leader getting Co-vid. What if you sang outside instead? Or, took just enough singers on tour to meet the guidelines of the church?
2020 - Who will forget.....
We had a choir registered - the problem was Co-vid. Under government restrictions singing was not permitted and gatherings were restricted. While we tried zoom choir - it wasn't what Joyful Noise was made for and by the end of September, we told the kids, let's try again in 2021.
2019 was a year that we opened the choir to juniors in grades 2 and 3. Sixteen new voices were admitted and under the leadership of Melanie DeVries, they made a wonderful addition to the Joyful Noise, This photo was taken at the 2019 Choral Coffeehouse Concert on November 16 and includes soloists Kyrsten Lofts and Emily Walker.

Having over 100 voices plus instrumentalists together on the platform for the 40th Anniversary was a real gift. Thank you to everyone who took the time to join with the Alumni Choir, the audience or who supported the choir this year.

To the best of Rein's knowledge 2005 was the first year the Choir gave Rein a Memory Book. It started a tradition of creating a digital photo album of each season.
